An Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) is a detailed description of the perfect customer for your business. By defining your ICP in Signaliz, you can leverage our AI-powered discovery engine to find companies that perfectly match your target criteria. This article will guide you through creating, managing, and understanding your ICPs within the Signaliz platform.

Creating a New ICP

Signaliz offers two ways to create a new ICP: manually or by importing from Octave.

Creating an ICP Manually

1.Navigate to ICP Identification: From the main dashboard, click on "ICP Identification" in the left-hand navigation menu.

2.Click "Create New ICP": In the "Create New ICP" section, click the "Create New ICP" button.

3.Enter Basic Information: A modal window will appear. Fill in the following fields:

•Company Name: A descriptive name for your ICP (e.g., "US-Based SaaS Companies").

•Website URL: An example website of a company that fits this ICP.

•ICP Description: A detailed description of your ideal customer. The more detailed you are, the better our AI can find matching companies.

4.Create Profile: Click the "Create Profile" button to save your new ICP.

Importing an ICP from Octave

If you use Octave to manage your playbooks, you can easily import them into Signaliz as ICPs.

1.Navigate to ICP Identification: From the main dashboard, click on "ICP Identification" in the left-hand navigation menu.

2.Click "Import from Octave": In the "Create New ICP" section, click the "Import from Octave" button.

3.Select Playbook: Choose the Octave playbook you want to import.

4.Import: Click the "Import" button to create a new ICP based on your Octave playbook.

Viewing and Understanding Your ICPs

Once you have created your ICPs, you can view them on the "ICP Identification" page. Each ICP is displayed as a card, showing the name, creation date, and a brief description.

To view the full details of an ICP, simply click on the card. A modal window will appear, displaying all the criteria you defined for that ICP, including:

•Company Criteria: Employee count and revenue range.

•Target Departments: The specific departments you are targeting within the company.

•Pain Points: The common problems and challenges your ideal customers face.

•Tech Stack: The technologies and software your ideal customers use.

•Geography: The geographic location of your ideal customers.

•Buying Triggers: The events or circumstances that would lead a company to purchase your product or service.
